In a study that included five participants, total time for single-leg stand with eyes closed was 7.3 seconds before the trampoline exercise program and 11.96 after the program. The trampoline workouts resulted in an increase of balance of 68 percent.

    • According to a study conducted by researchers at the University of New Mexico, rebounding workouts resulted in numerous benefits, such as increased cardiorespiratory fitness levels, caloric expenditure and kinestheric awareness. In addition, trampoline workouts can increase your breathing capacity and circulate more oxygen in your tissues.
    • The same New Mexico research study also found that rebounding is a low-impact physical activity that can reduce your rate of injuries that are often associated with other types of exercises like running. Dr. Craig McQueen, adjunct professor, material science and engineering and orthopedic surgery of the University of Utah, studied rebounding versus jogging and found that rebounding resulted in much less impact force on your muscles than jogging.

    • Trampoline workouts can also normalize your blood pressure, prevent cardiovascular disease and lower your cholesterol levels. According to the Mayo Clinic, regular exercise can also help you improve your mood, manage your weight, boost your energy levels and get a better night's sleep.

    • Albert E. Carter notes in his book, The Miracles of Re- bound Exercise, that rebounding "not only increases the strength of each muscle by increasing the G force repeatedly, but also increases the fitness of the muscle by improving lymphatic and blood circulation in the muscle."
